Congratulations to Averill Park CSD and Questar III Culinary Arts graduate Charli Spiegel on being a contestant on MasterChef!
The first episode of the 10th Anniversary show aired on June 5 and Charli made a dish of curried shrimp and pickled watermelon. This season, contestants battled for an apron in the first two episodes and two judges said ‘no’ to Charli. A third judge said yes and used his “Battle Pass” to give Charli a second chance at earning an apron.
During the Battle Round, Charli made beer battered fish tacos with an asian slaw. After a close decision, the judges went with another contestant.
