Rudy Winkler (Class of 2013) placed 11th in the Hammer Throw at the IAAF World Championships in Qatar this week.
Winkler tossed 75.2 meters (246 feet) in the finals against the best athletes in the world. Poland’s Pawel Fajdek hit 80-5 to win the event.
In the qualifiers the day before, Winkler set a personal best with a throw of 77.06 meters (252 feet)!
