Vivian Savage, a fifth grader at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary, was recently accepted as a new member of the Capital District Youth Chorale (CDYC)!
Students are required to complete an audition process, which took place in September. CDYC is comprised of multiple choirs, and Vivian sings with the Choristers, which is a group that includes boys and girls in upper elementary school and lower middle school.
Founded by Diane Warner in 1982, CDYC has since become a well-known performing ensemble for young people in the Capital District. The choirs rehearse every Saturday and perform in a number of concerts each season, including the annual performance with the Albany Symphony Orchestra in the “Magic of Christmas” concert at the Palace Theater.
