Sixth grade students taking Medical Explorations got the chance to learn about some careers in the medical field from several guest speakers.
Bryon Backenson, an epidemiologist, taught our students about what it is like working for the CDC and the science knowledge that goes into the career.
Denise Nero spoke about a variety of careers that a pharmacist can do; the kinds of medicine and tools home infusion pharmacists treat patients with; and shared some props and attire for students to try on and see.
Lisa Frankoski and Cassandra Madson came to visit from Albany Medical Center. Mrs. Frankoski taught students about all different types of nurses and what it is like to be a nurse.
We are so grateful to our presenters for taking the time to come teach our students about all the opportunities in the medical field!
