Jackie Jurs visited Poestenkill Elementary to teach the 4th and 5th graders about White Nose Syndrome in bats!
Students learned how bats help pollinate flowers and control the mosquito and moth populations. White Nose Syndrome has lowered the bat population in the US by 85%! Students were encouraged to build bat boxes for their yards and to spread the word to help save the bats.
