Chase Rose, a seventh grade student at Algonquin Middle School, is heading to Quebec to compete in the World Championship of Pee-Wee Hockey from Feb. 12-23.
Chase is part of the Adirondack Jr. Wings, which is one of the top teams in the country. The team has been selected to represent Eastern Upstate New York at the World Championship, where the best 12-year-old hockey players in the world will gather to compete.
This is the 61st year that the tournament has been held with many NHL stars competing when they were younger, including Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Guy Lafleur, and Eric Lindros.
Good luck Chase!
