Lilly Kronau, Xander Michaels and Carley Salerno achieved their New York State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish graduation distinction this week. All three gave presentations on inspirational people from the Spanish speaking world. Lilly focused on artists, Xander on soccer players and Carley on singers.
Evaluating their presentations were Dr. Alejandra Bronfman (Depatrment Chair of Latinos and Caribbean Studies department), Carmen Nieves (Phd candidate at SUNY Albany) and Ildefonso Apelanz (Phd candidate at SUNY Albany). All evaluators are native Spanish speakers.
Students presented their research and then answered questions from the evaluators.
Felicitaciones to all on this extraordinary achievement.
