Yesterday, we updated you on a change to the process for individuals returning to school / work after an illness. Today, the New York State Department of Health has changed its guidelines regarding this issue.
As we stated, we are monitoring all changes that are made to state guidelines and adjusting our reopening plan accordingly.
The new NYS Department of Health guidance states that students and staff who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms must have clearance from their physician OR a negative COVID-19 test result in order to return to school / work.
Should the state issue additional guidance on the matter, we will review our policies and inform parents and guardians of any changes that may be necessary as a result.
