HALFWAY POINT OF THIRD MARKING PERIOD
This Friday will mark the midpoint of the Third Marking Period. We encourage families to sit with their child over the weekend to review SchoolTool and review how their child is doing in their classes. With several weeks ahead there is plenty of time for students to improve their grades, if needed.

UPCOMING APO MEETING
There will be an Algonquin Parent Organization meeting Monday, March 15th at 7 PM. We will get updates regarding activities that have occurred during this most unusual year and we will plan for the rest of the school year.
We hope that you can attend. Please email Cat Headley (email@example.com) to RSVP. The virtual meeting link and Agenda/attachments will be forwarded to you.
SCHOOL PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes are available Thurs, March 11, 2021 and Fri, March 12, 2021.
All students need to have a picture taken annual for the school records and to be included in the annual school yearbook. Thursday and Friday are the last two days available for students to have their picture taken by LifeTouch.
Hybrid/In Person Students: If you would like to have your picture retaken please come down during your Access period to the main foyer outside of the office.
Virtual Students can have their pictures taken here at AMS anytime between 2:30pm and 4:00pm on Thurs, March 11, 2021 and Fri, March 12, 2021. Virtual students should enter from the main entrance to have their pictures taken in the foyer outside of the main office.
JOIN IN THE AMS STUDENT COUNCIL MARCH CEREAL CHALLENGE!
The AMS Student Council invites all school community members to help with their “March Cereal Challenge!”
Students are encouraged to bring in boxed cereals that will be donated to local food pantries, including our own district pantry and backpack programs.
As part of the fun, the Student Council, along with Grade 7 Science students who are studying energy, speed and motion, will create a domino rally effect of the boxes down the AMS hallways.
Please consider donating to this great (and fun) cause!

STUDENTS: JOIN THE YEARBOOK CLUB
Students interested in joining the Yearbook Club should complete the following application and return it by email to Mrs. Goodermote or Mrs. Winkley. Thank you!
