Students and staff at West Sand Lake and Poestenkill Elementary Schools filled boxes with donated goods for Yellow Ribbon Day, which is held on April 9.
The donations were delivered and are being sent to the NY2 Blue Star Mothers of America group, which are mothers who have a child currently serving, or have honorably served, in the military. Items will be used in Freedom Boxes and will be sent to deployed troops.
