Ben Russell joins Algonquin Middle School as a Special Education teacher this year.
“I’ve always loved working in schools,” he said. “I started working in the North Colonie ESY program when I was 19.”
Mr. Russell earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Le Moyne College and received his Masters Degree in Special Education and English education from the College of Saint Rose.
After college, he began working at North Colonie as an Aide before becoming a Teaching Assistant. He also filled a full-time, half-year leave position.
Mr. Russell enjoys watching students grow and form relationships with each other.
Fun Fact! Mr. Russell is the boys modified soccer coach.
