Joshua Kim joins the Algonquin Middle School faculty as a Science teacher this year.
“I wanted to be a teacher after I met my college physics professor,” he said. “He made me passionate about a subject I originally hated, and I want to do that with my students.”
Mr. Kim attended SUNY Albany for his undergraduate degree and Clarkson University for graduate school. Prior to joining Averill Park CSD, he student-taught at Schenectady High School.
“I like discussion circles and having the ability to coach. I like bonding with students,” he said.
Fun fact! Mr. Kim loves sports, but he also geeks out to video games and Marvel movies.
