West Sand Lake Elementary School held its Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities Principal’s Challenge today!
Students raised more than $1,000 for RMHC, so Principal Rosher agreed to dress up as Little Bo Peep and live lambs came to school. Overall, students raised $11,945.03! WSL raised the second highest amount overall out of 102 schools that participated.
Top earners were Ella S. from Mrs. Zalucky’s class and Stan C. from Mrs. Haworth’s class. They are invited to go on a private tour of the Ronald McDonald House in Albany.
Mrs. Zalucky’s first grade class raised the highest amount and will receive a special prize or extra recess and a treat with the Principal.
Six students raised more than $500 and received a t-shirt, including Kaiya G., Genny C., Stan C., Elise D., Ella S. and Madison B.
Thank you to the WSL Character Education Committee for organizing the event.
