As you know, the baseball team defeated Massena 13-0 this weekend to claim the NYSPHSAA Class A Regional Championship. They now advance to the NYSPHSAA Class A Semifinals, where they will face Section IV champion Maine-Endwell on Friday at 1:00 at Union-Endicott HS.
As a result, our baseball team will not be in school on Friday.
Additionally, we expect that there may be some students at APHS who may wish to take the day to travel and support the team at this school-sponsored event.
It is also possible that there are students, both team members or potential spectators, who may have a final exam, or other important assignments due, on Friday.
If you are a team member, or a student who is considering attending the event on Friday, please know that it is your responsibility to check in with each of your teachers by the end of the day on Wednesday to determined what you will miss, and find out what your teacher needs you to do in order to make this up.
Given that this is a school-sponsored event, please know that our faculty and staff will work with all team members and spectators to make sure that appropriate alternatives are provided for exams, or work, which are missed on Friday. Students must be sure to complete these alternatives successfully.
Of course, it is expected that students not attending the event are in school, and in their classes, at this incredibly important time of year.
If you have any questions, please touch base with your teachers directly, and congratulations to our boy’s baseball team!!
Stay healthy, and be well,
