Scott Reynolds has been a fixture in the Averill Park Central School District, coaching since 1983 and teaching since 1986. After teaching through parts of five different decades, he’s retiring at the end of this month.
“I always worked with kids in the summer teaching swimming lessons, and I also come from a family of teachers,” he said about getting his start in education.
Mr. Reynolds stated that throughout the years, the students he worked with as a Physical Education teacher at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School have made him laugh every day.
“I’ll miss the people I work with and the students,” he said.
In retirement, Mr. Reynolds would like to play some golf, travel, and spend time with family.
