On Monday night, Kadi Palmer (Class of 2023) and Christina Mein (APHS Assistant Principal) presented at the Sand Lake Kiwanis meeting.
Kiwanis members learned about the 70 extra-curricular clubs and activities that students can participate in at APHS. These opportunities include athletics, the arts, service groups, as well as extra-curricular clubs and activities.
At APHS, Kadi participates in Off Broadway Players (OBP). In addition, she shared with Kiwanis members her involvement with a local organization, Jazzy Sun Birthdays, which helps celebrate children’s birthdays. The group provides a themed birthday celebration for children that are in area shelters. At APCSD, Kadi has worked with K-Kids, Builders Club and Key Club to collect donated themed birthday items for Jazzy Sun Birthdays to use at local shelters.
