Gabriel Bol Deng visited Algonquin Middle School today to give a presentation to seventh grade students.
Gabriel is a survivor of the Sudanese Civil War who immigrated to the United States as one of the “Lost Boys of Sudan.” The presentation is a capstone to the ELA unit on the Sudanese Civil War and the book “A Long Walk to Water.” Thank you to Gabriel for sharing his powerful story with our students!
