  7. Algonquin Games on June...

Parents and Guardians:

AMS is proud to announce the upcoming Algonquin Games, which will take place on Friday, June 14th, a half day for students.

This will be a day filled with fun and cross-grade level teamwork challenges for our students in all three grades.

Students will meet their team members from throughout the building on Wednesday, June 12th during Morning Meeting.  There students will get to know one another and then prepare for the games to take place at the end of the week.

On the morning of the Algonquin Games on Friday, June 14th, students will report directly to their first game location for attendance and breakfast. We encourage students to travel light, bringing only essentials like a water bottle and snack, with other belongings neatly stored in their Activity A classrooms.

All students will participate in a dynamic BMX Show by Mannie Nogueira.

Throughout the day students will rotate through our planned team building activities with teachers tracking scores of team achievements. Low stakes points will be awarded based on performance of the activities, fostering a spirit of friendly competition.

There will be a break time where students can relax and enjoy freeze pops provided by teachers.

At the end of the day, students will return to their Morning Meeting rooms for reflection, gather their materials, and prepare for dismissal.

We believe the Algonquin Games will be a memorable experience, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.

A huge thank you goes out to Mr. Anderson, Mr. Cavotta and Coach Brooks for creating the vision and plan for the big day!  If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your continued support of our school community.

Sincerely,

Rob Messia, Principal
Algonquin Middle School
