  7. 2024 Capital Project Approved
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, voters in the Averill Park Central School District approved a Capital Project referendum 686 (yes) to 475 (no). The referendum passed with 59.09% of the residents voting in favor of the project.
The referendum will invest $39.9 million into critical infrastructure and building needs that are measured, reasonable and necessary. To learn about the full scope of the project, click here: https://www.averillpark.k12.ny.us/capital-project/
“Thank you to the community members who came out to vote for this capital project. This work will not only enhance our school safety, it will address critical building and infrastructure deficiencies across the District,” Superintendent Dr. James Franchini said.
In the coming months, architects will prepare plans for the project which will be submitted to the State Education Department for approval. We will keep the community updated on progress as it occurs.
