The Averill Park Central School District is proud to celebrate Gary Mieczkowski, APCSD Bus Driver, for his four years of service in the United States Marine Corps!
Mr. Mieczkowski has been with the Averill Park Central School District for 11 years and is proud of his service to his country.
“It definitely made me more mature and straightened me out. It was a valuable learning experience,” Mieczkowski said. “Discipline was a key trait I learned to develop.”When asked on what advice he would give to Averill Park CSD students considering joining the military, Mieczkowski feels the military is a great opportunity for all American citizens to find out who they are.
“I think everyone should go into service for at least two years,” said Mieczkowski. “You learn a lot, you learn respect and you grow up very quickly.”
