The Averill Park Central School District is proud to celebrate Kevin Beale, APCSD Groundskeeper, for his six years of service in the NY Army National Guard!
Mr. Beale has been with the Averill Park Central School District for 7 years and is proud of his service to his country.
“I wish I did it sooner, I learned a lot! when I joined I was 21, and I went to Basic Training when I was 22,” Beale said. “I feel I could have done more and learned more if I had done it sooner.”
When asked on what advice he would give to Averill Park CSD students considering joining the military, Beale shared to have an idea of what you’re looking to pursue in the military prior to committing.
“Make sure you do your homework before considering, and make sure you know what you want to do,” Beale said. “Don’t let the recruiters tell you what you want to do. Go in with a plan of what you want your role to be in the military.”
