“I was an electrician in the Air Force for 10 years. While I was in, I learned how to do high voltage electrical, construction electrical, maintenance work and more from highly certified professionals who became friends,” Lambright said. “I was fortunate to travel to many countries, including South Korea, Honduras and Saudi Arabia. I also taught military members electrical skills. I loved my time, I worked with really great people.”
When asked on what advice she would give to Averill Park CSD students considering joining the military, Lambright shared to always be open to opportunities when they are presented to you.
“It’s a great way to start your life, they will pay for your college! I think the military is a good place for current students to grow with their interpersonal skills, such as responsibility, timeliness and respect,” Lambright said. “It’s a great place to find who you are! I absolutely loved my time in the Air Force, and the members you serve with become your family. Be open to opportunities, because WHY NOT!?”
