West Sand Lake Elementary School held its 4th annual Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 7, 2024! The assembly and parade were coordinated by WSL’s Character Education Committee and attended by approximately 20 veterans. Students in grades K-5 sang patriotic songs and cheered on our veterans as they drove through the campus.
A special thank you to the West Sand Lake Volunteer Fire Company for leading the way and closing the parade, as well as Sergeant Smith and the LaSalle Color Guard for marching formally presenting the colors. Each year, every student makes a craft that they hold during the parade. This year, students created poppies, a symbol of remembrance. #AP_EveryStudentEveryDay
