  7. 6th Annual Shark Tank...

8th grade students at AMS presented their business ideas to a panel of judges for the 6th Annual Shark Tank Project.

Students worked on this project for a full day and presented to judges in a preliminary and final round setting the following day.  Students created an invention and developed a company with a business plan. While sharpening business acumen, students also learned to better work in a collaborative setting and conquered the challenges of presenting in front of peers and adults.

Each social studies class produced a preliminary round winner.  These nine groups were narrowed down to the top four. The top four groups presented to the entire 8th grade class and a panel of judges from the Averill Park community.

Congratulations to Bubble Buddies, Sports Bound Buzzer, Fabric Fusion, and Bad Cooks!

A special thank you to our AP community entrepreneurs, UNbreakable Nutrition, SHAC Community Center, Sand Lake Merchant, UdderHand Farm, and MMG Promotion & Design,  who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in our Shark Tank Event as mentors and “Sharks” providing authentic real world business insight, advice and feedback to our 8th graders. #AP_EveryStudentEveryDay
