The World Languages Department, with help from APHS ELA, Science, and Music teachers, held its 15th annual Lip Sync contest on Tuesday, March 25. More than 80 students from French and Spanish 4 and 5 classes performed to a packed house. World Languages teachers from Algonquin Middle School judged the performances.
Spanish 4, block 1, won the Best Costumes award for their song “Bamboléo” by The Gipsy Kings. French 5 took the Best Lip Syncing prize for the song “Hey Oh” by Tragédie. Spanish 5 was given the Best Choreography award for their work on the song “Bemba Colorá” by Celia Cruz. The Best Overall Performance honors were for French 4 for their version of “Le coach” by Soprano (Saïd M’Roumbaba).
