  7. Final Review of Course...
APHS Students and Parents/Guardians,

Over the past three months, our School Counselors have worked to connect with all of our students regarding their course selections for the 25-26 school year.  At this time, we have completed this process, and all students have selected their courses.

Before beginning the early stages of our master schedule build, we are opening the course selection portal in SchoolTool one more time so that students are able to review their course selections, and make any final changes. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that the selected courses are correct.

Between now and Thursday, April 10, please be sure to go into SchoolTool and review the courses you have selected.

If you wish to make a final change, please contact your school counselor.

Please note that lunch is not listed, but every student will be scheduled for lunch. Also, some of our courses have recommended prerequisites for enrollment. Adjustments for students who do not meet these prerequisites will be made in early summer, after final grades have been calculated, and exams are complete. Finally, please keep in mind that you will be looking at course selections only. Your actual schedule will be released in August.

Next week, we will begin the early stages of building our schedule for the 2025-26 school year. Please know that course selection changes after that will be difficult to attain, unless they are driven by the failure of a course or exam. A well-balanced and equitable, school-wide schedule requires that we have committed information related to student course selection. This drives teaching assignments, section numbers, and class sizes. Changes once these factors are locked in are not easy to make, and frequently disrupt the choices available to other students, who selected their courses accurately.

In July or early August, we will send notification of when schedules will be available to be viewed in SchoolTool.

If you have any questions about your course selections, please contact your school counselor prior to April 10.

The number for our Counseling Center is (518) 674-7025.
