After teaching for 20 years in the Averill Park Central School District, Robin Pugliese is retiring on June 30, 2025.
“I love working with children,” she said. “I was inspired by many wonderful teachers of my own and wanted to be an influence and support to students as they were to me.”
Mrs. Pugliese’s favorite memories include being with her students and the amazing staff at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School.
“The faculty and staff are like a family to me,” she said. “I cherish the long-lasting relationships I have made with many of my students and their families.”
Mrs. Pugliese and her husband opened a boutique / micro bakery in East Greenbush, “The Doggy Bag,” where she intends to spend much of her time in retirement when she isn’t spending it with family, including her new grandson.
