Congratulations to the following seven students who have received the Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish; Samantha Alberino, Keirsten Bonner, Veronica Cardillo, Sarah Hurst, Cecelia Rifenburgh, Eva Sollohub Lopez, and Chave Thiell!
The students had to research a topic and then present to a panel of native Spanish speakers. After presenting, they answered questions about their presentation from the panel, which consisted of three professors from the Africana Latino and Caribbean studies department at SUNY Albany, including Dr. Alejandra Bronfman, Professor Ildefonso Apelanz and Professor Carmen Nieves.
