District school librarians, classroom teachers, and reading specialists are invited to join Book Buzz, a free, virtual, read-what-you-choose book club designed to spark conversation about new literature. This is a professional development (PD) credit opportunity being offered by Rebecca Ekstrom, AMS Library Media Specialist. The program spans six monthly meetings (three in fall, three in spring), with separate tracks for elementary, middle, and high school educators.
Participants should select recent books (published within the last two years) appropriate for grades 5–8, and come prepared to discuss their latest read. To receive full credit, participants must attend all six meetings; missing three or more disqualifies credit.
All sessions will be held online, and access information will be sent out the day before each event.
