The AMS Chess Club held its first meeting of the year last week, bringing together students who share a passion for strategy and competition. Members enjoyed several friendly matches and an appropriately themed snack — Chessmen cookies.
The club provides students with opportunities to learn, practice, and compete in chess while building critical thinking and problem-solving skills. More meetings are planned throughout the year, and new members are always welcome.
