Averill Park Central School District reminds families that elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all athletic events, including varsity football games. While this has always been the district’s expectation, the procedure will now be strictly enforced to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all spectators.
Students who arrive without a parent or guardian will not be permitted to enter and will be supervised while they contact their parent or guardian for pickup.
Expectations of eligible student spectators are as follows:
- Students must enter through Main Gate by the concession stand
- Students attending with a parent or guardian are expected to sit in the bleachers and watch the game.
- Students cannot attend if they are on their school’s ineligible list; if you do not know if your child is on the ineligible list, please contact your child’s school
The district appreciates the cooperation and support of families in helping provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
