The Averill Park Central School District reminds families that elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all athletic events, including varsity football games. While this has always been the District’s expectation, the procedure will now be strictly enforced to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all spectators.
Students who arrive without a parent or guardian will not be permitted to enter and will be supervised while they contact their parent or guardian for pickup.
Expectations of eligible student spectators are as follows:
- Students must enter through the main gate by the concession stand.
- Students attending with a parent or guardian are expected to sit in the bleachers and watch the game.
- Students cannot attend if they are on their school’s ineligible list. If you do not know if your child is on the ineligible list, please contact your child’s school.
The District appreciates the cooperation and support of families in helping provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
