Last week, all Grade 7 students at Algonquin Middle School took part in a day of community service as part of the school-wide initiative, AMS Serves. This meaningful, people-to-people service-learning experience allowed students to connect with residents and make a positive impact.
Students engaged in pre-service and post-service activities and visited local facilities serving the elderly, including:
- Van Rensselaer Manor
- The Eddy Hawthorne Ridge
- Evergreen Commons
- Daughters of Sarah
- The Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center
- The Eddy Heritage House
The District applauds students for their dedication and the positive contributions they made to the community.
