APHS recently announced the retirement of Mr. Derek Minkler, who concluded his dedicated tenure with the district last month.
Mr. Minkler was a valued member of the APHS teaching faculty. His coaching roles included serving as the Head Coach for Girls Junior Varsity Tennis during the 2023-2024 school year and the Head Coach for Girls Varsity Bowling in 2019. Additionally, he was listed as the Head Coach for the Averill Park Girls Lacrosse team in the 2022-2023 season.
The District celebrates his commitment and service, and wishes him a long, happy, and fulfilling retirement!
