AMS Grade 6 students traveled to Russell Sage College to see a live production of The Lightning Thief, a musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s popular novel Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The show follows Percy as he discovers he is a demigod and embarks on a quest filled with mythological creatures, fast-paced action and themes of friendship and identity.
The production brought the story—already read and discussed in Literacy class—to life in an engaging and memorable way for students. Thank you to Ms. Reinisch, Mr. DuMont and Ms. Dorazio for organizing this enriching field trip.
