APHS student Tessa Keeler took part in the BOCES New Visions: Emergency Preparedness, Informatics, Cyber, and Homeland Security student showcase at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity, where the program is based.
Keeler and her team designed and 3D printed a hands-free flashlight holder intended for use by first responders, capable of maintaining a steady beam of light for two minutes. The showcase provided an opportunity for students to present their final designs to real-world stakeholders & explain the problem-solving, collaboration and technical skills developed throughout the project. The work was also featured in this University at Albany article highlighting the partnership.
