  7. Averill Park Students Make...

AMS students attended the annual STOP Conference — Students Together Opposing Prejudice — at Siena College, where they joined peers from across the Capital Region in workshops and discussions focused on combating bias, intolerance and discrimination. Sponsored by Siena’s Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King Lecture Series and facilitated in part by the Anti‑Defamation League’s A World of Difference Institute, the event gives students tools to promote respect and inclusion in their schools and communities. Averill Park counselor Katelyn Baker and staff members Erin Fitch, Maryann Reese and Chrissy Perrotta praised the students for their thoughtfulness and leadership, and thank parents & guardians for supporting the opportunity. Students returned with new insights they can use in their daily lives.
