Students at APHS took part in interactive, hands-on lessons today as engineering ambassadors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute visited several classes to introduce a range of STEM concepts and career pathways.
Students discussed diodes and explored engineering opportunities in the silicon age before building working projects with snap circuit kits. In biology classes, students simulated targeted drug delivery using Skittles and other materials to model enteric coatings and how medicine can be delivered to specific locations in the body. The visit connected real-world applications to classroom learning and gave students a closer look at the possibilities within science and engineering fields. #AP_EveryStudentEveryDay
