Bear, Emelia Sala and Coach Gobel were recently featured in a News13-produced commercial designed to recruit referees and communicate the mission of Section 2 Athletics. The campaign highlights the critical role officials play in maintaining fair play, sportsmanship and safety for student-athletes across the region.
Section 2 Athletics serves schools throughout the Capital Region, providing opportunities for students to compete, grow and build character through interscholastic sports. By encouraging community members to become certified referees, the commercial aims to strengthen local athletic programs and ensure games can continue at the highest standard.
