Algonquin Middle School recently celebrated Foreign Language Week by highlighting the importance of learning languages and exploring cultures from around the world. Throughout the week, teachers shared the languages they studied, when they learned them and how those experiences have shaped their lives. Decorations around the school reflected the theme, including a display case featuring the word “welcome” in many different languages. Even the Golden Knight in the lobby joined the celebration, showing off some world language spirit. The week served as a reminder that studying world languages helps build cultural understanding, strengthen communication skills and open doors to future opportunities.
