Kindergarten students recently practiced the basics of block coding using code.org during an activity organized by librarian Ms. Duffy. During the lesson, students learned how to create simple algorithms, or step-by-step instructions that tell a computer what to do. Students also practiced using touch pads and mice to navigate on their computers while completing coding challenges. Activities like these help introduce students to computational thinking while strengthening problem-solving and digital literacy skills at an early age.
