  7. AP Transforms 2026 Brings...

The District held its AP Transforms 2026 professional learning event, bringing together admin, teachers, and teaching assistants from across the district for a day of collaboration and professional development.

The day began with breakfast before staff participated in three one-hour learning sessions led by district faculty and administrators. More than 45 sessions were offered, covering topics such as sleep and the brain, artificial intelligence in education, the Epilepsy Foundation and the Yes I Can program. The event concluded with a full group gathering that included reflection, recognition and raffles.

Also as part of AP Transforms 2026, members of the Algonquin Middle School and Averill Park High School technology departments toured the newly built Career and Technical Education facilities at Hudson Valley Community College. The visit gave staff an opportunity to explore the updated learning spaces and begin envisioning how the district’s own technology and CTE programs could continue to grow in the future.
