APCSD is sharing an update to its school resource officer program, as Officer Brian Nikles transitions to a new professional opportunity and Officer Dan Mahar joins the District.
“It has been a privilege to work with the students and staff in this district,” Nikles said. “I am grateful for the connections I’ve made and wish the school community continued success.”
Mahar will step into the role with prior experience working in a school setting, helping ensure a smooth and consistent transition.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know the Averill Park community and supporting a positive and safe school environment,” Mahar said. “Building relationships with students and staff is something I value in this role.”
The transition has been coordinated to maintain continuity, and the District’s school resource officer program will continue to provide the same level of support, visibility and collaboration.
