AP students were among those recognized for outstanding performance at the SkillsUSA New York State Area III Regional Competition, where nearly 100 students from Donald R. Kline and Robert H. Gibson Technical Schools showcased their career and technical skills, along with career readiness and leadership abilities.
Students competed against more than 350 participants representing 10 schools from Plattsburgh to Hudson. Questar III BOCES swept two categories at the event, earning first-, second- and third-place medals in both the First Aid/CPR and Cosmetology Senior competitions.
Congratulations to the following Averill Park students on their achievements: Samantha Carey, Cosmetology Junior, first place; Martin Gibbons, Precision Heavy Equipment Operations, first place; and Amaia Williams, Cosmetology Senior, third place.
