  7. Women’s Wednesday 3/25/26

Today, APHS held its final Women’s Wednesday in recognition of Women’s History Month, welcoming guest speakers from a variety of professional fields.

Kate Schmeiding, creative operations director for digital and media services in New York State; Tonya Gorlow, executive director of the Sand Lake Center for the Arts; Melissa Toni, major projects biologist with the Federal Highway Administration; and Susan Pattenaude, director of policy and pro bono services at The Legal Project, each shared their career journeys, experiences and advice.

Students participated by selecting questions from provided cards to ask the speakers, then entered a raffle by submitting their name after the discussion. The event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to engage in conversation, learn from real-world experiences and explore future career possibilities.
