For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, students at APHS will have access to a record 43 college credit bearing opportunities spread out over 35 different courses.
Students enrolled in “College in the High School” courses though one of our partners at HVCC, SCCC, GCCC, SUNY Albany, and the College Board are able to earn credits at one third the cost of on-campus courses at the college, while students in AP Courses earn credits upon scoring a 3 or better on the AP Exam associated with each course. In some cases, students may register to earn both types of credits in the same course. This can lead to significant savings, both financially and in terms of time, for students as they enter college after graduation.
