Horticulture students recently toured four greenhouses at SUNY Cobleskill to learn more about plant science and greenhouse operations.
During the visit, students explored how the college prepares for its annual plant sale, conducts experiments involving plant growth and soil, cultivates native wildflowers and operates hydroponic systems used to grow tomatoes.
The experience also helped students prepare for the APHS Horticulture Program’s annual plant sale, scheduled for May 19.
