  7. District Expands Classroom Technology...
Despite the shift toward distraction-free learning environments, the APCSD technology department has continued working to better support project-based learning opportunities.

Prior to this school year, iPads were primarily allocated for special education programming. The District has now expanded access to include APHS classroom use in science, English and art courses, providing students and staff with secure, school-managed devices that support creativity, collaboration and multimedia learning.

Art and photography teacher Logan Kline recently demonstrated how students will use the devices in art classes. Using the iPads and accompanying Apple Pencils, students can transpose photographs into digital drawings while also recording their artistic process through time-lapse style videos that capture pencil strokes and creative progression without interruptions. Students can also narrate their videos to reflect on their artistic choices and techniques.

The District thanks APHS Principal Heath Quiles for assisting with acquiring Apple Pencils to accompany the devices and a huge thank you goes to Director of Technology, Travis Malone, and entire department for preparing, labeling, securing and distributing the iPads for classroom use across AP!
