The APCSD Music Department recently hosted its annual fourth grade Instrument Petting Zoo in the Algonquin Middle School cafeteria. More than 75 fourth grade students and their families attended the event to learn more about the District’s Band, String Orchestra and Chorus (BOC) music program.
During the evening, students had the opportunity to explore and try the instruments that will be available to them in fifth grade, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, percussion, violin, viola, cello and double bass.
The Music Department extends its thanks to John Keal Music for providing the instruments, as well as the APHS Music Club and AMS musicians who helped facilitate the event and inspire future student musicians.
