Averill Park High School is proud to recognize 10 students who have earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy, an honor that recognizes students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
Students earning the Seal of Biliteracy have completed rigorous coursework, examinations, and performance-based assessments demonstrating Intermediate High proficiency in both English and another language. As part of the process, each student researched a topic of their choice, presented a culminating project to a panel of native or near-native speakers, and responded to questions about their research and presentation.
